Scientix Workshop for Polish STEM Teachers
Event type: workshop
Target group: counsellors, educational authorities, teachers
Topic: applied sciences, materials sciences, science education
This Scientix workshop is held in Warsaw, Poland, on 15 November 2017 and proposes different methods for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) classes that can make pupils more active members of their learning process, or even the main creators of it. Moreover, teachers are familiarised with Scientix’s opportunities for finding STEM inspirations for active classes. After a plenary session, dedicated to Scientix, teachers are invited to choose among eight various workshops and presentations of various STEM projects. Those projects (EDU-ARCTIC, STEM4youth and OEIiZK) have the opportunity to present their products in the form of workshops, which enable the active involvement of participants in exploring new educational solutions. Three workshops are run by Scientix Ambassadors (Elżbieta Kawecka, Ryszard Markiewicz and Szymon Pitek).
