The purpose of this webinar is to give teachers, career counsellors, educational authorities and researchers an overview of Project-Based Learning (PBL) and how it is implemented in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education, also inspiring students towards STEM careers.
PBL in STEM can facilitate further collaboration, such as the development of creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills among students. PBL emphasises authenticity, connections, inquiry and process, contributing to the necessary pedagogy of STEM disciplines.
Fawad Naseer, STEM Education Consultant and Trainer, Founder and Managing Director of a pioneer STEM education-based after-school programme in Pakistan called STEM Visions, presents his experience of implementing PBL in STEM education and its detailed observational results.
About the presenter:
Fawad Naseer is the Director of a pioneer STEM-based after-school programme called STEM Visions, a winner of the international STEM Excellence Award of the International STEM Education Association (ISEA). Mr Naseer has provided consultancy services about STEM education to schools, colleges and universities for the last three years and taught at schools and colleges for the past ten years.
