This webinar of the ERIS project, held on 17 October 2018 from 15:00 to 16:00 Central European Summer Time (CEST), introduces participants to the project’s educational packages for physics, geography and mathematics classes.
Those educational packages include ready-to-use materials for teachers that they can apply directly in their work with students during classes or in extra-curricular activities. This is accompanied by worksheets for students, guidelines for teachers and lesson plans. During the webinar, the Earth’s magnetic field is discussed; the participants take on the role of a ship’s navigator in order to determine the direction of the North.
Piotr Stankiewicz, an employee of the Institute of Geophysics PAS in Poland and a methodologist in the ERIS project, a teacher and author of geography textbooks, leads this webinar.
