This Future Classroom Scenario has been developed as part of the Europeana DSI-3 project. The main objective of this scenario is to explore the work and life of Marie Sklodowska-Curie through different learning stations in order to inspire and motivate teenagers.
This can be a series of educational classes related to role models for teenagers (#EuropeanaCafe4teens). What could be better than motivation based on a real story of a noble scientist who had to overcome many difficulties in order to succeed? Such lessons help to acquire different types of knowledge and skills, shape our students’ personalities while maintaining freedom of choice.
Based on the selected Europeana resources, students work on the life and work of Maria Sklodowska Curie in four different aspects: Family, Science, History and Art, with particular emphasis on the influence of other people on the life of the Nobel Prize winner and on her scientific achievements.
