This Learning Scenario has been developed by Işıl GÜLMEZ as part of the Europeana DSI-4 project.
This scenario was designed for implementing in the last part of a computer science class, involving the creation of students' own augmented reality (AR) product. It requires using ROAR or LAYAR editor for smartphones or tablets (there should be at least 1 tablet per groups of 4). The lesson begins with an introductory session about AR (e.g. using Quiver Vision as an example). The teacher and students will search for bird sounds in Europeana Collections. Students will then make use of these sounds to create augmented reality materials. Students will then find bird photos that match their sounds, and link them together. Finally, photos are printed for AR, and the best AR work will be selected based on the votes by all students, using Kahoot.
