The closing conference of the FCL Regio project, took place in Trento, Italy on 12 April 2018. It brought together more than 100 participants representing Ministries of Educations, schools, educational organisations, universities, educational technology companies and other key educational stakeholders to discuss the role of regions in empowering teachers to innovate in their classrooms involving mobile devices and K-12 learning cloud services.
Future Classroom Lab will open its doors to the Flemish education community during the FCL Open Day on Wednesday 18 April 2018! We enthusiastically invite Flemish teachers, school leaders, IT coordinators and teacher trainers to join a half-day session to discover what the Future Classroom Lab concept, how it can support implementing innovative pedagogical approaches in schools, and how to go about creating your own learning lab.

During its second year, the Future Classroom Lab Regional network, working along with innovative teachers and ICT advisers, have developed future classroom scenarios and learning activities.
Adapting learning spaces is set to become an increasingly important issue for policy makers and school leaders, as it facilitates innovative pedagogies using technology in the classroom.
In Norway, there are currently several learning labs being established, inspired by the Future Classroom Lab.
It is widely accepted that active learning has received considerable attention over the past several years. Engaging the students with meaningful learning experiences that demand collaboration, problem solving and critical thinking not only sets the foundations for a more deep learning but also makes both the learning and the teaching enjoyable and challenging.
