Creating a network of schools within Living Schools Lab
16 October 2012 10:41
A new project, Living Schools Lab, will look into creating a pan-European network of ‘living schools’ demonstrating and showcasing a diverse range of innovative pedagogical practice involving ICT. It will also identify successful strategies for change to take to scale - from single class to being embedded across the whole school. The project is a 24-month FP7 Coordination Action with 15 partners, including 12 Ministries of Education (MoE), and coordinated by European Schoolnet.
The Living Schools Lab project has been specifically designed to be part of a ‘family’ of related projects under the umbrella of the EUN Future Classroom Lab initiative.
The validation service that will be developed in the Living Schools Lab project will be a natural fit with other Future Classroom Lab activities and services and can leverage the business model that is already in place for this new initiative. Similarly, there will be increased impact as a result of close synergies between iTEC future classroom learning activities and the showcase of best practice that the Living Schools Lab network will develop. At the end of the project, this showcase will continue to be further developed under the Future Classroom Lab branding.
