European Schoolnet will celebrate Safer Internet Day 7 February 2012 by inviting Vice-President Neelie Kroes tovisit its Future Classroom Lab in Brussels and introducing a new initiative: eSafety label, which provides Online safety support and accreditation for European schools.
Safer Internet Day (SID) is now celebrated in more than 70 countries worldwide; including all 27 countries of the European Union for the 9th year running. An initiative of the European Commission’s Safer Internet Programme, this day marks an annual opportunity to engage in making the internet a safer and better place for our children and young people.
