The European Commission has recently published two new reports on the state of the teaching profession in Europe. The first report, delivered by Eurydice, deals with working conditions, professional development and demographic situation of teachers. The second report, prepared by CRELL research centre, provides analysis of the teaching practices in the classroom.

Seven new videos showcasing innovative pedagogical practice in European classrooms have been published. The videos have been created by the Interactive Classroom Working Group that launched the classroom practice series last year with four videos.
In 2014 it was decided to launch and provide ongoing support for a pan-European network of Future Classroom Ambassadors. The concept of Future Classroom Ambassadors is an important mechanism to leverage the results of EUN projects like iTEC, Living Schools Lab, and Creative Classrooms Lab, as well as future projects that will run under the general umbrella of the Future Classroom Lab.

The Creative Classrooms Lab will run a series of webinars to present topics related to the educational use of tablets. The topics include for example special needs education, flipped classroom, personalised learning and collaboration.

A group of innovative school leaders are meeting as part of a Future Classroom Lab initiative, supported by Microsoft and Promethean. In this first phase, the group is sharing and discussing programmes that have been useful in helping them lead change in their schools. In June, the aim is to share their best practice to help others.
