Should schools be places where the students can develop skills and attitudes that combine important elements such as creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, imagination and inventiveness? The Future Classroom Lab Summer Academy course "Enhancing creativity and innovation in my classroom" held on 3-7 July 2017 in Brussels, led the participants to reflect on how to nurture creativity in students and how to teach creatively!

One of the latest learning labs inspired by the Future Classroom Lab is the Future Learning Lab (FLL) in Vienna. It will open its doors officially in September 2017 at the Center for Innovation in Learning and Teaching (ZLI), part of the Pädagogische Hochschule Wien.

On 7 March 2017 European Schoolnet had the honour to take part in the official opening of the the "Aula del Futuro", the future classroom created by INTEF of the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport. The project was inaugurated by the Secretary of State for Education, Vocational Training and Universities, Marcial Marín.
European Schoolnet has recently started a new Knowledge Alliance project, ITELab (Initial Teachers Education Lab), between higher education institutions and industry to foster innovation and knowledge exchange in initial/pre-service teacher education (ITE). European Schoolnet's Future Classroom Lab has inspired many teachers, schools and organisations to create their own learning labs or spaces.
