Recently, a Texas-based company, Triseum, joined the Future Classroom Lab and became the first industry partner to have game-based learning as its core business. To better understand how schools in Europe can exploit game-based learning, Triseum is using the FCL Validation Service and funding a small pilot with schools in around five countries. Selected schools will develop and test pedagogical scenarios and learning activities using two Triseum games, ARTé: Mecenas™ and Variant: Limits™.

Do schools kill or nurture creativity? Should schools be places where the students can develop skills and attitudes that combine important elements such as creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, imagination and inventiveness? The Future Classroom Lab Summer Academy course "Enhancing creativity and innovation in my classroom" held on 3-7 July 2017 in Brussels, led the participants to reflect on how to nurture creativity in students and how to teach creatively!
One of the latest learning labs inspired by the Future Classroom Lab is the Future Learning Lab (FLL) in Vienna. It will open its doors officially in September 2017 at the Center for Innovation in Learning and Teaching (ZLI), part of the Pädagogische Hochschule Wien.

eConfidence - Confidence in behaviour changes through serious games - is a 24-month project funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
On 7 March 2017 European Schoolnet had the honour to take part in the official opening of the the "Aula del Futuro", the future classroom created by INTEF of the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport. The project was inaugurated by the Secretary of State for Education, Vocational Training and Universities, Marcial Marín.
European Schoolnet has recently started a new Knowledge Alliance project, ITELab (Initial Teachers Education Lab), between higher education institutions and industry to foster innovation and knowledge exchange in initial/pre-service teacher education (ITE). The project is co-funded under the European Commission's Erasmus+ Programme from January 2017 to December 2019.
