What should a school consider when planning a lab for doing projects with games, coding, Virtual Reality, 3D-design and printing, and other technologies? Is your school Future Classroom ready? In this webinar participants learnt about experiences with a mobile Future Classroom Lab in Norway, and got some ideas to set up your own lab, either with a decent budget - or on a shoestring budget.

How to set up a learning lab - practical example from Lab 21.0, Belgium, 21 April 2016

Lab 21.0 is a recently opened 'learning lab' at the secondary school RHIZO Lyceum OLV Vlaanderen, Belgium. It forms part of the school-wide innovation project School 21.0. The learning space was completed in early 2016 and officially opened by the Flemish Minister of Education, Mrs. Hilde Crevits, on 18 March 2016. During this webinar the project coordinator, Tim Vuylsteke, shared the team's experience of planning, setting up and launching the Lab 21.0.

This webinar will cover a brief background to the research and proposition which lies behind the development of IRIS Connect to ensure improvements in schools.

What is "collaboration" and how can it be taught? 16 March 2016

Alongside science, reading and mathematics, from 2015 PISA will examine a fourth strand on "collaborative problem solving". In this context, there is an increasing need for all K-12 stakeholders to reflect on what we mean by collaborative learning and how teachers can best introduce and support this as part of their normal classroom practice. During the webinar SMART Technology revealed how collaboration has been taking place between UK primary and Canadian secondary level students in the One Million Lights project via an international workspace that uses the company's innovative SMART amp technology.

Design of Learning Spaces, 15 Feb 2016

The webinar on "Design of Learning Spaces" was organised by European Schoolnet. The presenter Peter Barrett from the University of Salford, UK, explained about recent research project on the design of learning spaces, the HEAD Project (Holistic Evidence and Design). The project had given clear evidence that well-designed primary schools boost children's academic performance in reading, writing and maths.
