Our innovative learning space has been actively used for over a year to support both students and teachers in discovering and applying new educational approaches. We organized practical workshops and training sessions for primary school students aged 6–10 and for teachers from all grade levels who are interested in gaining experience in innovative learning environments. All teachers in the school have completed the "Active Learning and Innovative Learning Environments" online course via the ÖBA platform, developed by the Turkish Ministry of Education.

Designed as a flexible, technology-rich environment, our learning space encourages active participation and permanent learning through a constructivist approach. We implement diverse pedagogical methods such as game-based learning, multiple intelligences theory, project-based learning, inquiry-based learning, active learning, and blended learning. These approaches help foster essential 21st-century skills, including critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, entrepreneurship, and self-directed learning.

Unlike traditional classrooms, students in this learning space access information not only from teachers or textbooks, but also from online sources and interactive tools. The use of mobile devices, VR headsets, digital pens, and laptops has significantly increased student motivation and participation, especially among those with low self-confidence or learning difficulties. Personalized learning opportunities, supported by flexible furniture arrangements, allow for smooth transitions between individual and collaborative work. Process-oriented evaluation tools, such as digital assessments and behaviour portfolios, have made assessment more engaging and meaningful.

The classroom is organized into distinct yet interconnected zones. The Investigate Zone provides access to tablets, laptops, VR headsets, and a globe model, encouraging students to explore real-world issues independently. In the Present Zone, students use green screen technology, cameras, 3D design pens, and various digital tools to create multimedia content. The Exchange Zone promotes teamwork through tablets, laptops, and digital games. In the Interact Zone, devices like interactive whiteboards and virtual books are used for peer-based learning. The Presentation Zone features smartboards, printers, and microphones to facilitate the sharing of student work with peers. The Develop Zone focuses on personalized learning through e-books, digital competitions, and logic games, all supported by tablets and laptops.
