About the Course

This on-site course on Empowering Learners in an Inclusive Classroom is designed to give a hands-on approach to help participants develop their own ideas about inclusive learning and the effective use of technology. Through workshops, participants will become more familiar with active learning and how its implementation may cultivate inclusive learning environments. Focus will be given on the use and integration of ICT in the classroom in order to benefit all students, including those with disabilities as it enables them to access learning, gives them greater autonomy, unlocks the potential for those with communication difficulties, etc. Teachers will be given the opportunity to learn how to design lessons and activities for learners with social, emotional, behavioural and learning difficulties.

The workshop will use a variety of methods, including lectures, discussions, case studies, and group activities. Participants will be encouraged to share their own experiences, challenges, and successes, and to collaborate with one another to develop strategies for promoting equity and inclusion in their classrooms.

This course is aimed at teachers and other school staff at primary and secondary levels, enthusiastic to provide inclusive education to their students who come from different socio-economic and language backgrounds or have physical or learning difficulties. If you are experienced SEN teacher, this course might not offer you any new insights into the topic, as the course will cover more entry-level materials.

All courses will be delivered in English, and participants must have at least solid basic skills in English (listening, speaking) to be able to follow instructions and fully engage in the course activities.

"I am very satisfied with the knowledge I gained during my time in the course. The current and technological approaches were quite sufficient. In addition, the exchange of information with friends from other countries was very important. We had the chance to see different practices and we also had the chance to share our own practices. I would like to thank all the instructors and other staff who contributed to the course."
