Croatian Future Classroom at IX. gimnazija
In the Croatian Future Classroom, students are provided with the unique opportunity to connect and network in a safe environment where they can engage in active learning, create new resources and share them with their peers worldwide. Our students develop new skills and competences and are encouraged to reimagine and combine the existing learning content into new, rich, easily accessible materials and resources. We use different web 2.0 tools, open educational resources and learning management systems to deepen learning and to take advantage of the abundance of possibilities that new technologies offer to learners. Our mission is to significantly transform the process of learning whereby the emphasis is placed on self-driven learning as the source of knowledge creation.
Inspired by the Future Classroom Lab, the Croatian Future Classroom was opened in 2013 as a joint project of IX. gimnazija, Croatian Academic and Research Network (CARNet), Ministry of Science, Education and Sport, Zagreb Educational Bureau and Samsung Electronics Adriatic.
