This learning scenario has been developed during the rerun of the "Europeana in your classroom: building 21st-century competences with digital cultural heritage" online course. The course aimed to improve teachers' understanding of cultural heritage in order to efficiently integrate it into their lessons and practices.
The learning scenario is intended for Contemporary Art and the topic is an analysis of the monumental frieze created by Kentridge in Rome. Students should be able to verbalize connections between Rome’s history and the series of symbols, archetypes and events which have been freely reinterpreted by Kentridge in his masterpiece.
