This Future Classroom Scenario has been developed as part of the Europeana DSI-2 project. The main idea of this scenario is using pieces of Art to develop language activities and increase the knowledge of vocabulary in English as a Foreign Language in a creative and motivating way.
In this lesson activities emphasize oral and written descriptions of the people portrayed in the paintings and children are challenged to infer what leisure activities are being done in the picture through the observation of the clues given by the painter. Then they have to "enter" the picture to create "impossible" interviews to the people. After being journalists of the past, the time travel ends with all the children entering the picture in a virtual way.
