FCL Classroom Tosya Bilim

Our Future Classroom Lab (FCL) is a dynamic and flexible learning environment designed to enhance 21st-century skills through innovative pedagogical approaches and cutting-edge educational technology. It serves as an experimental space where students and teachers can explore interactive, personalized, and project-based learning methodologies.

The FCL primarily caters to gifted students in our Science and Art Center (BİLSEM), ranging from elementary to high school levels. However, it is also a hub for teacher training, offering workshops on integrating technology and innovative methodologies into classrooms.

Our FCL is built around a learner-centered, collaborative, and interdisciplinary approach, promoting critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. The space is designed according to the six-zone model of FCL, encouraging interaction, creativity, and reflection: Investigate, Create, Present, Interact, Develop, and Exchange. We embrace methodologies such as:

  • Inquiry-Based Learning to foster curiosity and exploration,

  • Project-Based Learning (PBL) for hands-on, real-world problem-solving,

  • Blended Learning, combining face-to-face teaching with digital tools,

  • Gamification & Adaptive Learning to increase engagement and motivation.

Our FCL is equipped with advanced ICT tools to support a future-ready education, including: Interactive smartboards & VR/AR devices for immersive learning experiences, Robotics kits & coding tools (e.g., LEGO Mindstorms, Arduino, Raspberry Pi) to develop computational thinking , Multimedia production tools (green screens, podcasting equipment) for digital storytelling, Flexible furniture & modular spaces for adaptable learning setups
