FUTURE BIO LAB Kežmarok (SK)

The FUTURE BIO LAB in the St. Cross elementary school with kindergarten in Kežmarok is a modern educational space that meets the high criteria of modern education. It is designed to support different forms of teaching and to increase the quality of the learning process. The workspace can be adapted to the needs of teaching and learning. The classroom is divided into three zones that support different forms of teaching and collaboration. It is intended for primary school pupils interested in natural sciences, especially biology. Equipment and pedagogical approach are adapted to the needs of different age groups and levels of knowledge.

Teaching in our classroom is based on active learning and involving pupils in the discovery process. Teachers use a variety of didactic methods, such as project-based learning, group work and discussions. The aim is to promote independent thinking and problem-solving skills. Teachers also receive feedback from pupils, which enables them to adapt lessons to their needs.

The classroom is equipped with modern information and communication technologies, including interactive whiteboards, computers and tablets. These technologies enable the use of digital learning materials and applications that enrich the teaching process. As part of the digital transformation, various applications and programmes are used to support interactive and effective learning.

Our FUTURE BIO LAB has hosted activities as part of the Erasmus+ programme, which has enabled pupils and teachers to gain experience with international projects and partnerships. These activities promote the development of language skills, cultural awareness and international cooperation. Pupils have the opportunity to visit partner schools abroad where they participate in a variety of educational activities and projects with a focus on science. Teachers can participate in professional seminars and training courses to acquire new knowledge and skills that they can then apply in their teaching.

Therefore Future Bio Lab is not only a place of learning, but also a space where pupils can develop and discover the world of science. It is a modern and inspiring environment that supports pupils' learning and personal development.
