The space is funded by the Portuguese Institute of Education and associate partners, and had its official opening on the 16th of April 2015. It is designed to host:
1. (Future) Teachers involved in Masters Degrees in Teaching and Education at the Institute of Education (ULisboa):
a) Initial teacher training
- Masters in Teaching of Informatics
- Masters in Teaching of Mathematics
- Masters in Teaching of Biology and Geology
- Masters in Teaching of Physics and Chemistry
b) Continuous teacher training
- Masters in Education and Digital Technology
- Masters in Education and Training: E-learning and Distance Education
2. Teachers and researchers of the 18 faculties and Institutes of the University of Lisbon in collaboration with the Ulisboa Unit of E-learning.
The Learning Space is fully equipped with High-definition video camera, Video editing software, Audio recording equipment (microphones and headphones), Podcast software, Animation software, Streaming software, Robots, Sensors and Microscopes, 3D Printer, E-learning authoring software, Interactive whiteboard and HD projector, 1:1 computing with tablets, hybrid netbooks or smartphones, Learner response system and devices
