The Interactive Classroom Working Group (ICWG) presents the Digital Playbook, a comprehensive resource for educators, school leaders, and policymakers seeking to create inclusive learning environments that value and respect the diversity and needs of every learner. Drawing on evidence from 9 case studies across 9 European countries, this Digital Playbook translates research into practice through 9 actionable guidelines and 32 real-world practices.

Why Focus on Inclusive Digital Learning Environments?

  1. Today’s classrooms are becoming increasingly diverse, pushing for education ecosystems to promote and prioritise equity and inclusion for all learners.
  2. Inclusive Digital Learning Environments promote equity by recognising students’ diverse needs and actively accommodating them, leveraging digital tools and emerging technologies for the benefit of every student.
  3. Schools with whole-school inclusive strategies embed digital inclusion systemically, aligning curriculum design, pedagogy and technology infrastructure to implement inclusive practices for all.

  • Explore the role of educators and digital tools in promoting inclusion.
  • Discover student-centred approaches that empower learners to shape their own learning.
  • Strengthen educators’ capacity to use digital tools in supporting participation and improving learning outcomes.
