iDEALab operates as a hub for learning and innovation, cultivating a culture of lifelong learning, collaboration, and active participation. The initiative addresses not only the educational community but also the broader citizenry, establishing an open arena for the exchange of knowledge and experiences.
Our aim is the development of an open and participatory learning ecosystem, in which knowledge is produced, shared, and leveraged for the benefit of both the educational sphere and the local community.
MicroTalks constitutes an innovative professional learning and development initiative, designed and implemented within the framework of the strategic plan for transforming the 2nd Experimental Primary School of Ierapetra into an Innovation Hub. Originating within the educational sphere, it dynamically extends its reach toward the broader local community. The initiative is grounded in concise, targeted presentations and experiential workshops, through which educators and other professionals share practices, experiences, and contemporary approaches to learning, with particular emphasis on application and reflective practice.
Partnership: The Institute of Computer Science (ICS) is one of the ten institutes of the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH). In this context, iDEALab operates within the framework of a formal collaboration protocol established with the ICS-FORTH and our Experimental Primary School, fostering synergies between cutting-edge research and educational practice.
