Since its creation, the Interactive Classroom Working Group (ICWG) has been dedicated to exploring innovative approaches to education, focusing on digitalisation, personalised learning, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies in schools. Over the years, the ICWG has published guidelines addressing key areas such as innovative learning spaces, digital strategies, and tools to foster collaboration and critical thinking in classrooms.
In its latest publication, the working group presents Strategies to create inclusive learning environments with the support of (emerging) technologies, offering practical guidance and hands-on approaches for teachers and educators. This work builds on:
- Research and frameworks examining how teachers use digital technologies to support inclusive learning environments,
- Insights from 9 case studies across nine European countries showcasing 32 practical examples on how schools and teachers harness digital tools to foster inclusion,
- Collaborative contributions, from educators and policymakers.
The main outcomes are presented in two resources: the Interactive Classroom WG Case Studies and a Digital Playbook featuring guidelines for creating inclusive learning environments through (emerging) digital technologies, highlighting promising practices and inspiring real-world applications
