In 2022, we celebrate the 10th anniversary of European Schoolnet’s Future Classroom Lab initiative. The project started exactly 10 years ago with the aim of helping the teaching community introduce innovative and creative classroom practices centered around ICT.

Commenced in 2019, the Novigado project has been focusing on school spaces with a clear conviction: the key to educational change is not the shape of a building, but rather the mindset of teachers and the whole school’s approach to innovation.
In the first week of July 2022, the Future Classroom Lab held its FCL Summer Academy Course titled “Enhancing creativity and innovation in my classroom”. Twenty-seven teachers from across Europe took part in a 5-day workshop in the heart of Brussels that introduced them to innovative teaching techniques and creative classroom activities.
With this year's edition of the School Innovation Forum, European Schoolnet offered its key stakeholders involved in the transformation of Europe's education the opportunity to network, meet face-to-face and exchange together about "Rethinking school innovation for future-proof learning".
Over the years, research on school environments and learning has produced important evidence on the need for education stakeholders to take the effects of sound on students and teachers into serious consideration as it can have significant impact on their wellbeing and progress.
The second mentoring workshop of the MenSI project took place online on 17th-18th May 2022.
