Do schools kill or nurture creativity? The Future Classroom Lab Summer Academy course "Enhancing creativity and innovation in my classroom" held on 3-7 July 2017 in Brussels, led the participants to reflect on how to nurture creativity in students and how to teach creatively!
One of the latest learning labs inspired by the Future Classroom Lab is the Future Learning Lab (FLL) in Vienna. It will open its doors officially in September 2017 at the Center for Innovation in Learning and Teaching (ZLI), part of the Pädagogische Hochschule Wien.

On 7 March 2017 European Schoolnet had the honour to take part in the official opening of the the "Aula del Futuro", the future classroom created by INTEF of the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport. The project was inaugurated by the Secretary of State for Education, Vocational Training and Universities, Marcial Marín.
European Schoolnet has recently started a new Knowledge Alliance project, ITELab (Initial Teachers Education Lab), between higher education institutions and industry to foster innovation and knowledge exchange in initial/pre-service teacher education (ITE). The project is co-funded under the European Commission's Erasmus+ Programme from January 2017 to December 2019.
FCL Regio Pedagogical scenarios & videos – How to adopt innovative pedagogical approaches involving mobile learning and cloud computing in the classroom
The Future Classroom Lab Regional network, with the help of innovative teachers/ICT advisers, nominated by all partners of the project, have recently developed future classroom scenarios and learning activities.
The recording of the webinar on "The impact of high definition projection in the classroom", organised by the Future Classroom Lab on 29 November 2016, is now available.
Recognising the increased need of enabling students to learn at their own pace; and in a way that suits them, the Interactive Classroom Working Group has focused its 2016 working plan particularly on different approaches to personalising learning.
