Next Generation Learning Lab - ( NextGen-LL)

The learning space is designed to support students aged 6–10 (Grades 1–4), teachers from all grade levels, school administrators, and parents through various activities that promote active, technology-enhanced learning. All stakeholders are involved: students participate actively; teachers plan and guide activities; administrators provide resources and organizational support; parents contribute at home or attend student events.

The Investigate Zone functions as a space to explore, test, and apply educational innovations. In Grades 1–2, students engage in basic technology use through activities such as Bee-Bot coding, digital storytelling, and interactive alphabet games. In Grades 3–4, they conduct research, develop ideas, and create simple projects. Tablets, laptops, microscopes, sensors, and coding kits are used to support inquiry, data collection, and digital analysis.

In the Create Zone, students apply their knowledge to create digital or physical outputs. Younger students prepare posters and digital storybooks, while older students design presentations on themes like recycling and environmental awareness. This area is equipped with tablets, 3D printers, video editing software, and audio recording tools to enhance creativity and problem-solving.

The Present Zone supports the development of communication and public speaking skills. Students present their work to peers, teachers, and parents using tools like PowerPoint or Canva. Interactive whiteboards, tablets, and video conferencing tools are used to display projects and gather feedback in both physical and virtual formats.

The Interact Zone encourages participatory learning through group discussions, digital games, and real-time voting tools. In early grades, students play interactive language games on smart boards. Older students use platforms like Mentimeter, Wordwall, or Kahoot to share ideas and analyze results. Tools such as tablets, wireless display systems, and collaboration apps support active engagement.

The Exchange Zone facilitates teamwork through shared tasks and co-creation. Students in Grades 1–2 design word posters; those in Grades 3–4 take on STEM-based challenges. Digital tools like Google Docs, Jamboard, and mobile devices are used to coordinate group work and build shared products.

In the Develop Zone, students work independently or in small groups on logic games, coding tasks, and digital design. Tools like micro:bit, Tinkercad, VR headsets, and multimedia software support personalized and skill-based learning.

Overall, the use of digital tools across all zones supports inquiry, collaboration, creativity, and student autonomy in a flexible, future-ready learning environment.
