Smyrna FORCE FCL

This learning space offers a range of activities designed to support the development of essential skills such as robotic coding courses, scientific experiments, word games, mathematical puzzles, and 3D model creation using recycled materials, Legos, or 3D printers. Additionally, students engage in storytelling, digital presentations, role-playing, and e-poster design with tools such as Canva. They also analyse and solve real-life problems through research, discussion, and teamwork, participate in mind and intelligence games, and explore cultural knowledge through virtual museum visits.

Students have the opportunity to work individually at their own pace using digital tools, books, and educational games. Collaboration is encouraged through teamwork, brainstorming sessions, and online interactions. They effectively communicate and share ideas using digital tools while adhering to e-safety regulations. By conducting research, designing innovative solutions, and producing creative content, students develop 21st-century skills through project-based learning and teamwork.

The flexible learning space is equipped with computers, laptops, a 3D printer, a microscope, miniscopes, an interactive whiteboard, various educational robots (BeeBot, Matatalab, Ozobot, Cody Rocky, Bott), mind and intelligence games, chess sets, a green screen, audio and video recorders, a projector, headphones, books, maps, and 3D models.

Different learning activities are conducted in the following designated areas:

Investigate: This area includes computers, robots, microscopes, miniscopes, 3D models, and Legos. Students conduct research, analyze data using digital tools, and engage in modeling and design activities in alignment with real-world scenarios.

Create: Equipped with 3D printers, cameras, audio recorders, and Legos, this area also features software for digital storytelling, video editing, design, and coding. Students develop creative projects such as digital stories, robot designs, games, and short films.

Present: Featuring an interactive whiteboard, projector, audio systems, and reconfigurable furniture, this area allows students to present their learning outcomes. Presentations enhance public speaking, communication, and critical thinking skills through peer feedback.

Interact: With laptops, interactive whiteboards, video systems, and online collaboration tools, this area facilitates interactive learning, remote participation, and real-time feedback.

Exchange: This space contains brainstorming boards, digital sharing platforms, and collaborative tools, allowing students to engage in group projects, discussions, and social awareness campaigns, enhancing teamwork and communication skills.

Develop: This area includes study corners, portable devices, digital libraries, and e-learning platforms. Students engage in independent learning, personalize their study pace, and create learning portfolios and journals.
